baby questions

I am incredibly under the weather today.  So... with my boredom and inability to move fast or far I decided to put answers here to some of the questions I've been getting a whole lot.

How far along are you?

I am 17 weeks so far.  My belly just started popping out last Wednesday, 16.5 weeks. (Admittedly, I had a little bit of a melt down about it.) Here it was at 12 weeks.

Is it a boy or a girl?

We don't know yet. At first I didn't want to find out, but I've changed my mind. lol We are wanting to find out, but haven't had the opportunity yet.  We are both thinking it's a girl though. We're thinking about telling the sex but keeping the name we pick out a secret.  :)  Mostly because I don't want to hear everyone's input.  lol

 Were you trying?

No.  Not at all. We were being very cautious.  But if God wants you to get pregnant, you're going to get pregnant. So, we're just leaving it up to Him and trusting that He will take care of us.

How did you find out?

I had this feeling that I was pregnant a couple weeks before I took a test. I took my first test on 12/30/11.  It was an electric EPT and it apparently had a meltdown... causing me to freak out.  I told Chad that night, and told him I was either pregnant or had diabetes.  LOL I got another test from Vanessa the next day and took it and there was no denying it.  I found out at  about 5 weeks.  Happy New Years to us! lol

Are you going to breastfeed? How about cloth diapering?

As for both of those I would love to.  However, I will have to continue working full time and go back to work as soon as possible.  While I don't doubt I can figure something out for breastfeeding, I highly doubt any daycare is going to be willing to help me cloth diaper. So I will do what I can to cd for the weekends or whenever I will be there with the baby,

Are you guys excited?

Yes and no. We are more excited and less scared than we were when we first found out.  It's still scary and we are very unprepared for a baby. But we're definitely getting more and more excited. :)

Have you felt it move?

I've been feeling the fluttering since I was a little over 14 weeks.  At first I thought something was having a spasm... but then it continues at random times... and after I sneeze. LOL No one else can feel it yet, though.

What does Jace think?

I'm pretty sure he doesn't get it fully.  But he rubs my belly and says hello to the baby. hahaha and he gets excited when we go to the doctor. As in yelling for other cars to move out of our way because we are going to check on the baby.  It's pretty much hilarious.

What are you craving?

Milkshakes, smoothies... any cold thick drink like that! Also, cereal, but that's not new.  I have unfortunately developed a distaste for tuna, pizza and bacon.... :(

Now, I'm sure there are several other questions that people have. But Jace is about done giving me some space. lol
