brr

Well... here I sit, yet again, typing here when I should be studying. Big exam tomorrow evening, but all I can think is that 1) I have yet to hear from my husband in any way today and 2) my feet are freezing and can't seem to get warm.

Neither one are anything I am excited about.  Yet, they are controlling my thoughts and I can't seem to get either one to leave me alone.

I am so ready for him to be home.  He is on my mind all the time.  There is always this timer running at the back of my mind.  A timer that is always counting the minutes/hours since the last time I heard from him, the last time I heard his voice, the last time I got a letter from him, the last time I got flowers from him, the last time I was able to Skype with him.  Any thing and everything involving him running through my head... always.

Often before I fall asleep I try to think of the one thing that day I missed the most about him.  Helps, if anything, make each day different.  Some days it's the warmth of his smile. The smile that isn't given out to just anyone, but when you've earned one it's so very rewarding.  Some days it's what I call his "thinking face". He makes this awful grimace of a face where his lips pull to the right and it looks like he is in some awful pain.  Some days it's his hands and how they're always reaching for mine.  Some days it's his eyes, that are this strange color where they look green and blue at the same time.  They match his ACU's perfectly.  Sometimes it's his love for going on drives that I miss.  Sometimes it's his love for football, NASCAR and UK basketball.

I am glad this time in our life is coming to a close.
